Electrical Engineer - Decarbonization Projects

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design, construction, and commissioning of innovative decarbonization projects for a major steel client in Corpus Christi, TX. This role will involve working on state-of-the-art electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems for sustainable steel production.
Responsibilities:
- Electrical Design: Develop detailed electrical designs, including power distribution systems, motor control centers, and instrumentation and control systems.
- Project Execution: Oversee the procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards, including NEC and OSHA regulations.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Coordination with Other Disciplines: Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines, such as civil, mechanical, and process engineering.
- Sustainability Focus: Incorporate energy-efficient technologies and sustainable design principles into electrical systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the industrial or construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP).
- Proficiency in electrical codes and standards, including NEC.
- Experience with power systems analysis and protection systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
